Tommes K. Brandt is a Berlin-based DJ whose sound is rooted in House, moving fluidly between Tech House, Disco and Baile Funk. Vocals, club-focused selections and seamless transitions between styles define his sets, bringing together different musical influences while maintaining a distinct artistic identity. His background as a singer informs his appreciation for vocals, while his Mozambican roots bring Lusophone and Southern African influences into his musical perspective. Drawing inspiration from Chicago, Detroit and New York, as well as the history and cultural roots of club music and Berlin’s club culture, Tommes continues to develop a sound that reflects both his personal background and the musical traditions that inspire him.

For Tommes, club culture has always been about more than the dancefloor. Inspired by the communities that created and continue to shape it, he sees clubs as places where people connect, express themselves and find a sense of belonging. This understanding informs his musical selection and the atmosphere he aims to create behind the decks.

Whether playing intimate community events, open-air gatherings or club dancefloors, Tommes approaches every set with the same intention: bringing people together through music while honouring the cultures and communities that made it possible.

Beyond the booth, Tommes is co-founder of A-Side Berlin, a party series rooted in House while embracing the wider spectrum of underground electronic music. Centering BIPoC, queer communities and allies, A-Side celebrates community, musical quality and the cultural legacy of Black and queer club culture that continues to shape dancefloors around the world.
